About the client

Four decades of nail expertise, family-run.

DeEnti by DeEnterprises, Inc. is a family-owned US manufacturer and co-packager of professional nail products — acrylic powders and monomers, dip systems, prep, top & base coats, pedicure ranges and accessories — all made in the USA. Operating out of West Chicago, Illinois, they supply salon owners, wholesale distributors and co-packaging partners, backed by 40+ years of experience and a service team that supports nail technicians directly.

Their WooCommerce store serves both trade and retail customers. DeEnterprises brought us in to take over support and maintenance — stabilising the platform, modernising hosting and infrastructure, and driving a roadmap of UX and conversion improvements right across the storefront, product pages and checkout.

The Brief

An inherited store that needed to be stable, fast and converting.

DeEnterprises needed a partner to take over their WooCommerce store from a previous agency — stabilise it, bring the whole platform current, move it onto better-value hosting, and then run a steady roadmap of UX and conversion improvements across every key page.

Inherited platform, brought current

Take over an existing WooCommerce store, stabilise it, and bring WordPress, PHP, plugins and themes all up to date.

Performance & conversion focus

A roadmap of storefront, category, product and checkout improvements aimed squarely at site performance and conversion rate.

Better hosting, lower cost

What we delivered

Support, maintenance and a steady stream of improvements.

Seven delivery workstreams — from platform foundations and hosting through storefront, product, checkout and deliverability — all focused on a more stable, faster, better-converting store.

01

Platform, Hosting & Infrastructure

Foundations
Access & hosting migration

Set up WP Admin, new hosting, Search Console and Analytics access — and migrated the live site to DeEnterprises' own Pressable account, reducing monthly hosting cost.

Platform modernisation

Updated WordPress to the latest version, upgraded PHP from 8.2.29 to 8.3, and brought WooCommerce, plugins, PHP and themes all in line on current versions.

Theme cleanup & modules

Reviewed and removed unused, inactive themes — leaving only the active Orbit Media Bootstrap 4 theme — to improve security and admin performance, and configured the CoSpark modules.

Staging, go-live cover & indexing

Resolved staging website issues, built a maintenance landing page to cover the go-live window, and handled the Google crawl and indexing.

02

Homepage, Header & Navigation

Storefront
Full-width USP bar

A fixed, full-width blue USP bar on every page — free shipping, customer care number, high-quality ingredients and family-run messaging, editable at any time.

Menu refinements

Reviewed the Shop All menu position and removed the shadow/colour block shown on menu hover for a cleaner navigation experience.

Popular categories & layout

Re-titled and emphasised the “Popular categories” block with higher-quality imagery, and re-arranged homepage content in line with the agreed brief.

Latest-blog feed

Added a latest-blog feed showing the most recent articles, editable via the featured-post selector to keep the homepage fresh.

03

Category Pages

Discovery & CRO
Product separation & pricing

Added grey background boxes for clearer product definition, styled pricing in the branded purple bubble with white text, and made sale prices and savings clearer.

On-tile add to cart

Moved Add to Cart and the quantity selector onto the product tile (off hover) with an alternative image on hover, and displayed product star reviews on category pages.

Smarter filters

Boxed and defined filters in light grey, set them to auto-open with a maximum of five options and a “see more” expander, and hid filters where no options exist.

Load-more on scroll

Replaced pagination with load-more products on scroll, so browsing the full range feels continuous and fast.

04

Product Pages

Conversion detail
Image & review fixes

Fixed product images, resolved the alternate-image-on-hover glitch, and restored the missing reviews on the product detail page.

Layout & price styling

Reordered the layout so the product name sits above the review stars, matched the price styling to the category pages, equalised element spacing and centred the “show more reviews” button.

Options, Ajax & payments

Preselected and highlighted options in purple with white text, switched option changes to Ajax (no reload), moved Apple Pay and Google Pay to the point of purchase, and fixed custom label formatting across all products.

Cross-sell & bulk pricing

Applied the new tile styling to “You may also like”, added a “buy more & save more” button that scrolls to the bulk pricing section, and added a delivery-policy summary linking to the full policy.

05

Basket, Checkout & Payments

Payments
Critical payment fixes

Resolved two high-importance payment issues on the live site, fixed a checkout issue and the non-working free-gift plugin, and resolved WooPayments being stuck in Safe Mode.

Cart & checkout UX

Restyled and re-centred the drawer cart arrow, set the promo-code box to auto-open, styled the checkout steps as buttons for a clearer journey, and fixed user login on mobile.

06

Blog & Footer

Content
Blog landing page

Updated the blog landing page with left-hand category filters, replaced the search box with Doofinder, and reduced the tile sizes for a tighter, more browsable layout.

Footer policy link

Added a dedicated delivery-policy link in the footer alongside the other policies, so key shipping information is always one click away.

07

Email & Deliverability

Integrations
Automated emails fixed

Diagnosed and fixed automated emails that were not sending, so order, account and notification messages reliably reach customers.

Fluent SMTP configured

Checked and configured Fluent SMTP to lock in dependable email deliverability across the whole store.
